O Rings and Seals

bonded washers
Bonded Washers
Description
Our Bonded Seals consist of a rubber sealing element that is bonded to the inner wall of a metal washer. They are used in applications where high pressures demand greater sealing capacity that can be obtained with copper washers. Available in a range of materials dependant on the application, in both metric and imperial sizes.
Application
Also known as Dowty seals, bonded seals and washers provide reliable and dependable resistance in high pressure applications. They are particularly suited to sealing under the heads of bolts and threaded components, for Pipe Couplings and a wide range of connector applications where a perfect face-to-face contact is required for sealing gases, oils, and other fluids.
Hydraulic Seals
Hydraulic Seals
Description
Hydraulic seals are generally relatively soft, non-metallic rings captured in groove or fixed in a combination of rings, forming a seal assembly, to block or separate fluid in reciprocating motion applications. They can be made from a variety of materials such as polyurethane, rubber or PTFE. The type of material is determined by the specific operating conditions.
Application
Hydraulic seals are designed to suit the cylinder working pressure, speed, operating temperature and fluid. Static hydraulic seals are located in a groove and see no movement; dynamic hydraulic seals are exposed to movement of the shaft or bore of a hydraulic cylinder. Common types include Piston Seals, rod Seals, wiper seals and wear rings.
Rotary Oil Seals
Rotary Oil Seals
Description
Rotary shaft seals are also known as Oil seals. They are often called grease, fluid or dirt seals. The seals conform to DIN 3760. Rubber types available are Nitrile, Viton ®, Silicone and EPDM. Main styles available are: R21 Rubber Covered Single Lip R23 Rubber Covered Lip & Wiper R4 Metal Covered Single Lip R6 Metal Covered Lip & Wiper R1 Totally Metal Enclosed Single Lip
Application
Rotary seals close spaces between stationary and moving components in mechanical equipment. They are used to help prevent lubricant escape and stop harmful contaminants from entering machinery, particularly in severe environments. They are vital components which protect all types of precision-constructed, close-fitting ball, sleeve and roller bearings.
